With health care costs rising dramatically year after year, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Americans to afford health insurance – and unfair tax laws make it even more difficult for GLBT families to do so. Under federal law, legally married employees do not pay taxes on their employers' contribution for health insurance benefits, but lesbian and gay employees do. Our families need coverage, too.
