The short explanation of this alert was:
Great news: Your Representative voted NO on the Marriage Protection Amendment (formerly the Federal Marriage Amendment). In other words, they voted NOT to amend the Constitution to discriminate against GLBT Americans. And the best news is that the Amendment did NOT get the 2/3 majority it needed to pass.
Please let your Representative know that you're grateful for their vote! Simply complete the information at right.
