Jennifer and Adam
March 29, 2008

Jennifer and Adam were married March 29, 2008, in Jennifer's hometown of Knoxville, TN and reside in Chicago, IL. They feel lucky to have legal recognition of their lifelong dedication to each other, and they strongly advocate for this right to be extended to all people.

Jennifer and Adam know they do not need the legal recognition in order to love each other forever, and even considered not marrying at all. But legal marriage adds a layer of security and confidence to their lives, and allows certain rights and privileges that they would not have if unmarried. "It is preposterous that those rights and privileges are not available to all people," say Jennifer and Adam.

They, along with their three children, are excited to be part of this amazing change in California law. While same-sex marriage is not legal in Utah, it will be exciting to say, "Yes, we are married... in California."

On July 23, 2008 Jan, Whitney and Whitney's extended family will be vacationing in Oxnard, California. They are excited to take everyone on a "surprise outing" where they will be married in the Ventura County Court House. For their family, having married parents is important.
